Yes, paradise does exist – it\u2019s called the Canary Islands (Spain). And paradise is what you\u2019ll find pretty much everywhere on these islands. Abel L\u00f3pez, the Torres Brandy Embassy\u2019s ambassador in the Canaries knows the islands like the back of his hand. His warm, friendly and extroverted personality has a lot to do with his origins: He\u2019s Cuban by birth, and Canarian by adoption. A truly exceptional combination that means he has no problem in winning the hearts of everyone around him.<\/p>\n

As a Torres Brandy ambassador and sommelier<\/i>, he knows how to appreciate the subtleties of wines and brandies, and his creative streak has led him to develop the most extraordinarily inventive cocktails, like the Matrimonio, created for The Embassy. One of the things he finds most inspiring about being an ambassador for Torres Brandy is, in his own words, \u201ckeeping the community of bartenders united, like one big family\u201d. Take the plunge and dare to prepare this cocktail made with Torres 15 Brandy, coffee and pineapple. Ingredients that might not immediately grab you as being the best of friends, but they make for a perfect matrimonio<\/i>, promise! That\u2019s where the name comes from – matrimonio<\/i> means marriage in Spanish.<\/p>\n

A refreshing, tropical cocktail that\u2019s easy to prepare, and perfect for enjoying of an evening.<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • 50 ml Torres 15<\/li>\n
  • 20 ml sugar syrup<\/li>\n
  • 20 ml lime juice<\/li>\n
  • 20 ml pineapple juice<\/li>\n
  • 30 ml Espresso coffee.<\/li>\n
  • A thin slice of pineapple and a pineapple leaf.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Preparation:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    • <\/span>Place all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the coffee last.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Shake for a few seconds to chill, and to break up the ice.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • <\/span>Strain into a tall glass with lots of ice, and serve.<\/li>\n
