As Paradiso steps onto the podium in the top spot at the 2022 World’s 50 Best Bars awards, the collaboration between the world’s best cocktail bar and Torres Brandy gathers even more momentum. It’s a collaboration that goes back a long way. Sharing values such as sustainability, artistry and creativity doesn’t just strengthen the bonds between the two, it also carries them across borders – and on this occasion the destination is Dubai.

Hand in hand with Paradiso, we offered masterclasses and talks about the world of cocktails, as well as presenting new ideas for cocktails made with Torres Brandy.

For several days, bartenders, cocktail bar owners and mixology lovers had the chance to enjoy fruits of this great partnership in Dubai.

At cocktail bars Gilt and Cé La Vie, Paradiso and Torres Brandy delighted guests with their most innovative of cocktails. For the occasion, the Paradiso team, led by Giacomo Giannotti (owner), Federico Lombardi (head bartender) and Jack Micheloni (bar supervisor), took the helm at both of these cocktail bars for a few hours, introducing “Evolution”, the new Paradiso bar menu, where cocktails made with Torres Alta Luz brandy positively glowed.

The trip to Dubai involved much more than just the presentation of Paradiso’s new menu; there was also plenty of time and a commitment to share experience and knowledge about sustainable cocktails at the Smoke & Mirrors speakeasy and the MMi Bar Academy.   

At the MMi Academy, the most important cocktail academy in the Middle East, Javier Reynoso (Global Ambassador for Torres Brandy) and Paradiso gave six masterclasses where he presented the most outstanding brandies, showing how very versatile they can be in cocktails, and how Torres Brandy is right there with the most innovative cocktails of the day.

At Torres Brandy, one of our missions is to support bars helping them commit to creating sustainable cocktails, so together with Paradiso we talked about case studies and provided examples of how to create cocktails that really are more sustainable.
